Recurring Contributions

Today’s #FeatureSpotlight shows you how you can use Voleo’s recurring contributions feature to help you reach your investing goals.

Why is it important?

Recurring, or automatic, contributions are a simple savings feature and tool to help you reach any of your financial goals. By presetting your contributions on a schedule with your choice of frequency and value, you can more easily stay on course to hit your growth goals without spending valuable time and effort manually contributing. Or worse, forgetting to contribute. Recurring contributions enable you to ‘set it and forget it’, while your portfolio grows over time. By investing your funds sooner, they will have more time to build returns. Recurring contributions also align well with some well-known investment strategies, including dollar-cost averaging (DCA).

How to access the feature:

When founding a club:

When founding a new club you have the opportunity to suggest recurring contributions to your club members. By doing so you can align your contribution frequency and value supporting the growth of your clubs portfolio against its goals. Individual members may customize or cancel their contributions at any time.

  1. Access the new club launch from “Start a New Club”

  2. During the Club Rules set up, select “Suggest Recurring Contribution”

  3. Select your contribution frequency:

    • Monthly (1st) - monthly on the first of the month

    • Monthly (15th) - monthly on the 15th of the month or

    • Semi-monthly (1st and 15th) - twice a month on the 1st and the 15th of the month

  4. Select your contribution amount. The minimum amount is $10.

  5. You and your club members will be prompted to align your contributions when you complete your individual broker signup.
